Tow truck fire in Mississauga

Mississauga, Ontario — September 6, 2012 — The driver of a Canadian Automobile Association tow truck was lucky to escape without injuries when his vehicle caught fire recently in Mississauga, Ont.

The fire took place near the intersection of Eglinton Ave. and Dixie Rd. Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly and extinguished the blaze. The truck’s cab was consumed completely by the flames, but a boat being pulled by the truck at the time did not appear to be damaged.

Officials from CAA were unavailable for comment at the time of publication. Officials from Mississauga Fire & Emergency Services are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
