Ooltewah, Tennessee — August 10, 2012 — Century has introduced a newly designed 12-ton integrated towing and recovery unit, the 2465. Patterned after the successful Century 3212 (16-ton unit), the 2465 features a modular design with a boom and under lift fabricated out of high tensile steel for increased strength without excess weight. The under lift has a lift capacity of 7,000 lbs. extended using lifting forks and a tow rating of 20,000 lbs. making it ideal for most delivery vans, straight trucks, motor homes and school buses. With the standard 6,000 lb. L-arms and pivoting L-arm receivers, the 2465 is ideal for towing automobiles as well as a variety of light and medium duty trucks.
For your recovery work, the 2465 features dual 12,000 lb. planetary winches powered by a split hydraulic system so you do not sacrifice speed or power when using both winches and to hold your unit during those tough pulls, hydraulic rear spades with multi-position flipper feet are standard on the 2465. The modular body is constructed of aluminum for rust and corrosion resistance as well as lighter weight for increased payloads and is available for 84” or 108” CA configurations with a large pass through tunnel box for plenty of storage for all of your equipment.
