By Sanam YarWindsor, Ontario — July 2, 2013 — Pulling a loaded tractor-trailer out of a ditch might not be the most relaxing way to start your morning, but staff from Myers Towing and CTS Coxon’s Towing were ready, willing and able to get the job done. A collision involving a Toyota Corolla and a loaded tractor-trailer near Windsor, Ont., caused police to close South Service Road near Jefferson as emergency crews raced to the site just shy of 7:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. Windsor police confirmed the cause of collision was the Toyota veering outside of its marked lane. Following the collision, a female motorist was extracted from her vehicle by Windsor firefighters, arriving at the hospital later with non-life threatening injuries. It took the combined efforts of towers from Myers Towing and CTA Coxon’s Towing to remove the tractor-trailer from the ditch, an endeavour that took just over five hours to complete.
