West Kelowna axes rotation list, contract up for bids

By CTAR Staff

West Kelowna, B.C. — November 15, 2013 — The District of West Kelowna, B.C., has rescinded its previous rotational towing and storage list policy. The municipality will instead pursue a contract with a single towing company.

Previously, the municipality has two companies on rotation, Del Oro Towing and Mario’s Towing.

The initial contract will be for three years, with options to extend the contract for one or two years based on the towing firm’s performance.

The district will award the contract based on bids that must meet strict criteria. More information is available in the Districtor of West Kelowna’s Towing and Storage Service Policies.
