By CTAR Staff Newmarket, Ontario — June 11, 2014 — The Provincial Towing Association of Ontario (PTAO) is holding its annual charity golf tournament to raise money for the Canadian Diabetes Association. Tow operators across Ontario are encouraged to come out for the provincial towing association’s annual charity golf tournament, to be held again at the Cardinal Golf and Country Club, located at 2740 Davis Dr. W. on Thursday, June 12, 2014. The festivities begin at noon with a free lunch that will be available until 1:15 p.m., with towers hitting the links at 1:30 p.m. sharp. Following the tournament everyone will be treated to dinner, with a silent auction and awards presentation set to close out the day. All proceeds from the 2014 PTAO Charity Golf Tournament will be donated to the Canadian Diabetes Association, a not-for-profit foundation that supplies information, education and support for Canadians suffering from diabetes. In 2013 the PTAO donated $2,000 to The Toronto Star Air Fund, a charity providing 25,000 underprivileged and special needs children with the chance to have a summer’s worth of fun at one of 100 day or residential camps across the province. The PTAO adds that it’s a fantastic opportunity for towers to meet each other, customers and vendors, with towers being encouraged to bring friends, family, customers or employees to the charity event to complete a team of four to compete.
