Thornhill, Ontario — September 30, 2013 — CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) has announced the results of this year’s Service Driver of Excellence Awards. The top tow truck drivers and service providers were honoured at CAA SCO’s annual Network Professionals Conference at Deerhurst Resort in Hunstville, Ont.
“For the second year in a row, CAA SCO is proud to recognize the top three tow truck drivers and top two service providers,” said Chris Stamp, Director Automotive Services, CAA SCO. “The awards focus on excellence in service, leadership, knowledge, customer satisfaction and dedication to the community.”
Service Driver of Excellence Awards:
The gold award winner is Rob Gillespie. Gillespie has worked at Budget Towing (Markham) for 13 years. He is considered a role model to novice tow truck drivers and is known for his attention to detail, as well as problem solving skills. When he is not working, Gillespie spends time with his family and volunteering in his community.
The silver award winner is Terry Layton. Laxton has worked at Fred’s Towing (Milton) for 40 years. He is an experienced and knowledgeable tow truck driver who is known for lending a helping a hand at the annual Santa Claus Parade and Light-Up the Hills event.
The bronze award winner is Herc Pereira. Pereira has worked at Towco (Mississauga) for over 25 years. He is always professional and polite with CAA members and is known for mentoring new tow truck drivers with constructive feedback and coaching.
Meanwhile, the Service Providers of Excellence Award winners in CAA South Central Ontario’s region are Petroff’s Garage in Victoria Harbour and Jack’s Towing in Kingston.
The silver award winner is Petroff’s Garage. The owner and staff have been servicing CAA SCO members for over 83 years. The family-run company operates five service vehicles and puts customer service first.
The bronze award winner is Jack’s Towing. The owner and staff have provided exceptional member service for CAA SCO over the past 28 years. The highly skilled team aims to always exceed member expectations.
The award nominations were made online and the submissions were reviewed by an internal committee.
