Toronto, Ontario — June 30, 2014 — A local tow truck driver’s effort to flee a crash scene unnoticed was curtailed by a mentally-nimble cabbie who recorded vital information that may lead police to the truck operator. 680 News is reporting that on the morning of Sunday, June 29, the driver of a tow truck drove straight into the porch of a townhouse located on Landsdowne Avenue, south of Bloor Street West. The waiting cabbie witnessed the crash which ultimately damaged the porch, taking down the driver’s license plate and the name of the company the operator works for. The name of the tow truck company and identity of the driver have not been released.
