November 10, 2017 — Waterloo, Ontario — X-Treme Towing was recently purchased by Jeremy Swanson, Jared Story, Christa Morhart and their respective spouses. The towing company will be part of their new JS Truck Mart business.

According to source Estevan Mercury Publications, the new owners have had a busy start. The southeast region received its first snowfall of the winter the very same day the sale took effect, and more snow fell a couple of days later. Not surprisingly, they have received several calls from people stuck in ditches or involved in accidents.

“There have been lots of lockouts and lots of battery boosts,” said Swanson.

As for adjusting to a new business, Swanson commented, “Right now we’re just really concentrating on buying some inventory. We’re looking to buy wrecked or salvaged units. We’re trying to reorganize the towing end of Extreme Towing, and building inventory.”

Swanson and his co-owners say they recognize the tow truck service is an important one to offer the community. People need to know that if their vehicle needs to be towed, or if it requires roadside assistance, they have someone nearby to call.

“The alternative would be Weyburn, or someone coming from quite a ways,” Swanson said.

Story said X-Treme Towing will maintain the same services as before, along with some new ones. New features of the towing facility includes servicing customers who run into problems in the U.S. and need their vehicle brought back to Canada.

X-Treme Towing goes hand-in-hand with the services already offered by JS Truck Mart, according to Story. “We’re going to be trucks all over southeast Saskatchewan, and have to get them hauled into us anyways, so it seemed to make sense.”

X-Treme Towing is looking for a tow truck driver with a Class 1A licence and a clean abstract. The previous tow truck driver for X-Treme Towing will remain with the company, they said, and another person will be starting in the office later this month to help with inventory, parts and answering phones.

Both X-Treme Towing and JS Truck Mart will be operating out of their home on the Highway 39 east service road. For more information visit xtremetowing.ca.
