Edmonton, Alberta — July 27, 2015 –– Jamie Davis Towing’s central location suffered smoke damage when a fire broke out in a vehicle on the west Edmonton property late last week.
Global News reports the July 24 fire began inside a van parked in the interior of the 114A Avenue and 156 Street address. Emergency responders arrived on the scene at around 8 a.m.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services’ Cpt. Brian Hoekstra told Global that firefighters saw heavy smoke billowing from the building, but the crew worked quickly to control the blaze.
“There is some smoke damage throughout the building, but the fire was contained to the vehicle in the back,” Hoekstra said in the report.
Hoekstra says that garage fires pose many risks due the potentially hazardous material they contain.
The company is owned by Jamie Davis of Highway Thru Hell fame, and oversees three operations in the province—Edmonton, Fort McMurray, and Lac La Biche—in addition to a location in Hope, British Columbia.
